Come out for the debate: Second Reading of Bill 181!

Bill 181 will allow any city in Ontario to use a ranked ballot for local elections. This is historic, and big step forward for democratic renewal in our province.

Bills have to be approved THREE times in the legislative process: First reading, Second reading, then it goes to Committee, and then final reading.

Please join us for the beginning of Second Reading in the Legislature! We're hoping that all three parties will eventually vote in favour of this legislation. Your presence can make a difference. Our MPPs need to see that voters care about this issue and about this legislation.

Spread the word on Twitter.

If you can't make it to Queen's Park, we encourage you to call or write to your MPP this weekend, asking them to support Bill 181! (& if you don't know who your current MPP is, find your electoral district, and then find your MPP, and their contact information)

As well, if you will be in town in the evening, you're invited to come out to the after party! We'll be gathering at 7pm at the Rivoli, and all are welcome. A step forward like this deserves a celebration - we hope to see you there!
