Norman Hamilton has taken the pledge: "I support ranked ballots because every resident deserves a meaningful voice in choosing who represents them. In a diverse community like Etobicoke North, our voting system should give people greater choice and encourage candidates to listen to and engage with residents across our neighbourhoods. Ranked ballots can help voters express their preferences more fully while encouraging broader community support. As a candidate for Ward 1, I believe strengthening participation and ensuring residents feel heard is an important part of building a stronger local democracy."

Ranked ballots allow residents to vote for their first choice without feeling they must vote strategically against someone else. ALIGN stands for putting people before party politics. I believe Ontario should restore municipalities' ability to choose ranked ballots, giving residents more say in how their representatives are elected."
