Torontonians are heading to the polls to mark their ballots on October 26, 2026, and RaBIT wants voters to know which candidates support using ranked ballots for Toronto’s elections.

While we can’t use them right now, we want Toronto City Council to be ready to implement ranked ballots for our elections as soon as it’s possible again, which means we need to elect leaders who will be ready to make this change happen.

We ask all candidates for Mayor and City Councillor to take the following pledge:

“As a candidate in the 2026 Toronto Municipal Election, I pledge that, if elected, I will support, advance, and vote in favour of those actions required for the City of Toronto to have the option of using ranked ballots for their municipal elections.”

So far, 20 candidates for Mayor and Councillor have taken the pledge. To see which ones, please click on the links above for the community council in your area, and find your ward.
