"I believe Ontarians have the right to choose their methods for electing representatives, including (though not limited to) ranked ballots. When Doug Ford stripped municipalities of their rights to hold ranked ballot elections, it was a major step back for democracy in our province. As MPP, I will restore those rights to all."

"I support giving municipalities the option to use ranked ballots because they empower voters, promote fairer elections, and ensure stronger democratic representation. Ranked ballots reduce vote splitting, encourage more positive campaigns, and ensure elected officials have broader support from their communities. Local governments should have the freedom to choose the voting system that best serves their residents. By allowing ranked ballots, we can strengthen our democracy, increase voter engagement, and ensure that election outcomes truly reflect the will of the people. It’s time to give municipalities the choice to adopt a more fair and representative voting system."

"The way we vote should always put people first, ensuring fair representation and real choice. Ranked ballots give voters more power, reduce strategic voting, and result in leaders with broad support. This system strengthens democracy by promoting positive campaigns and fairer outcomes. I believe Ontarians should have the right to decide how they elect their representatives. Taking away that choice was a step backward. As MPP, I will fight to restore it, giving people and municipalities the freedom to adopt ranked ballots or other to ensure our elections truly reflect the will of voters."

"The existing First Past the Post electoral system is an unfair system that isn't working in the best interests of voters. I support electoral reform because everybody deserves to have their voice heard and counted. Together with the Ontario NDP, I commit to fair representation through electoral reform."
